New Students

We are excited you are applying to ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ, where you will experience an affordable excellent education and endless possibilities! ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ is one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges in the Phoenix area and offers the first two years of a Bachelor’s program, as well as, other occupational programs. Students wishing to attend ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ on a F-1 (student) visa must first apply for an I-20.

Application Deadlines

  • July 1 for Fall Semester
  • November 1 for Spring Semester

The Admission Process Requirements:

1. Complete the International Student Information packet below, or click here to complete the online and submit the required documentation.

2. Submit One Form of Proof of English Proficiency.  Choose either:

  •  - A score of 70 or better in Internet Base test (IBT) 
  •  - An overall Band Score of 6 or better 
  • - A score of 100 or higher
  • - A score of 75 or higher

Admission to the ¶À¼Ò±¬ÁÏ English as a Second Language Program:

Choose one from the following:

  • At least six years of English language instruction as shown by the applicant's school transcript(s)
  • A minimum score of 20 on the Internet-based test
  • A minimum overall Band Score of 2.0 or better
  • minimum score 15
  • An original letter of recommendation from a teacher, school principal, headmaster/headmistress, or director of an English Language Institute attesting to the applicant's proficiency at the intermediat level

3. Submit Your Official Transcript(s).

  • High School Transcripts -Secondary School or Certificate of Graduation in English
  • College Transcripts – All colleges or universities you have attended

NOTE: Only an original transcript with English translation for high school transcripts, translated by a certified translator is acceptable.  Translation with an evaluation for college and university transcripts.

4. Provide Evidence of Financial Support.

  • A minimum of $30,219  in U.S. currency per year plus any dependent fees (additional $5,000 for the first dependent and $2,500 per additional dependent)
  • Applicants who plan to live with a friend or family member in the United States may complete the Affidavit of Support
  • NOTE: For the visa process, the American Embassy or Consulate will require another set of original financial documents.

5. Provide a photocopy of the identification page of your current passport.

Tuition exemption opportunity for Sonora, Mexico residents:

Are you a resident of the State of Sonora, Mexico? Residents may apply for a limited number of spots to study at Arizona community colleges at the in-state tuition rate. Students wishing to apply for the program must meet certain academic standards set by the State of Sonora; a final selection of program beneficiaries are chosen by Sonora.
