Time Commitment
We understand that some students may be involved in extracurricular activities such as school clubs, sports, or youth groups, however, we encourage interested applicants to consider the time commitment required to participate in the Hoop of Learning (HOL) Program.
In the HOL Program, students take one class on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Fall and Spring semesters. During the summer semester, students take two classes Monday through Thursday. Classes during the summer semester will take place from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. If there is a workshop scheduled after classes end, it will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Students will be notified in advance about the workshops so they can make transportation arrangements if needed.
Additionally, HOL students must complete 10 lab hours by the end date of fall and spring semesters. Lab hours are referred to as "study time.鈥 Lab hours can be completed in the library on campus, taking place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM each Saturday after classes end.
